M&A Transaction Management | Business Owner Relations | Buyer & Seller Negotiations | High-Value Deal Closings | Remote
This is not your average sales job, and we are not looking for the average salesperson.
This is high-level relationship and transaction management. You will work with business owners selling companies they may have spent decades building, serious buyers investing substantial capital, and the attorneys, accountants, lenders, and advisors involved in getting complex transactions across the finish line.
It requires equal parts relationship management, sales ability, problem solving, negotiation, emotional intelligence, and persistence. Above all, it is 100% client and deal management.
We are professionals, we work with professionals, and we expect our Account Managers to present themselves accordingly. This is a remote position, but it is not a casual work-from-home job.
WE PROVIDE THE OPPORTUNITIES. YOUR JOB IS TO GET THE DEALS CLOSED.
There is no cold calling and no prospecting. We provide seller accounts. We generate buyer inquiries. You take responsibility for managing the relationships, developing the opportunities, bringing the right parties together, and moving transactions toward closing.
You aren't managing leads. You're managing deals. That means working with sophisticated business owners, investors, private equity groups, attorneys, accountants, lenders, and other professionals—often simultaneously.
It also means understanding that transactions don't operate on a perfect 9-to-5 schedule. Important conversations happen when they need to happen. Problems need to be solved. People need answers. Deals need momentum.
If you're looking for a position where you clock in, complete a task list, and clock out, this isn't it.
If you're looking for the opportunity to develop into a professional capable of managing and closing multi-million-dollar business transactions—and want your income tied directly to your ability to do it—keep reading.
WHAT MAKES THIS ROLE DIFFERENT
- No prospecting or cold calling. We generate the seller and buyer opportunities.
- You manage real transactions, not leads. Your job is to bring the right buyers and sellers together and move viable opportunities toward closing.
- You work directly with sophisticated clients. Business owners, entrepreneurs, private equity groups, family offices, investors, attorneys, accountants, and lenders will all be part of your world.
- You own your portfolio. You are expected to know your accounts, know your buyers, know where every viable transaction stands, and know what needs to happen next.
- You operate professionally. Many client interactions happen by video. You are one of the professionals in the room and are expected to look, communicate, and perform accordingly.
- Your earning potential is directly connected to your ability to close transactions.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
You will:
- Manage a portfolio of approximately 20–30 active seller accounts
- Vet, qualify, develop, and manage prospective buyers
- Identify potential matches between buyers and businesses
- Coordinate and facilitate buyer/seller introductions
- Collect, organize, and manage financial and operational information throughout the transaction
- Keep buyers and sellers engaged through long transaction cycles
- Manage expectations on both sides of the deal
- Navigate difficult conversations and competing personalities
- Facilitate negotiations and help the parties work toward mutually acceptable outcomes
- Coordinate with attorneys, accountants, lenders, and other transaction professionals
- Identify problems before they derail transactions
- Maintain momentum through due diligence, negotiation, financing, and closing
- Serve as the quarterback of the transaction from initial opportunity through closing
WHO SUCCEEDS HERE
This role requires someone who is:
- Confident and assertive
- Highly emotionally intelligent
- Comfortable dealing with successful, demanding people
- Capable of pushing back professionally
- Comfortable navigating disagreement and conflict
- Organized enough to manage many transactions simultaneously
- Strategic enough to understand what is really happening inside a deal
- Persistent without becoming desperate
- Self-directed and comfortable operating without constant supervision
- Patient enough to manage a long sales cycle
- Financially prepared for commission-based compensation
You must be comfortable sitting across the table—physically or virtually—from owners of substantial businesses and sophisticated investors and conducting yourself as their peer.
If you are timid, conflict-averse, uncomfortable with accountability, or require frequent reassurance and day-to-day supervision, this position will not be a fit.
THE REALITY — READ THIS CAREFULLY
This is a 100% commission-based opportunity. There is no guaranteed salary.
Business transactions take time. Most deals do not close quickly, and your first commission may take 6–9 months. During that time, you will be building relationships, learning the transaction process, developing buyers, managing seller accounts, and advancing multiple opportunities simultaneously.
You should not pursue this position if you require guaranteed income over the next several months. We would rather be completely clear about that now than have someone discover it after joining us.
COMPENSATION & OPPORTUNITY
The upside reflects the difficulty of the work.
- 100% commission-based compensation
- A smaller transaction can generate $10,000+ in commission
- Larger transactions can produce significantly greater commissions
- Strong performers have the opportunity to earn multiple six figures
- No income cap
But this isn't quick money. Income comes from successfully managing transactions all the way to closing.
WHY WE'RE HIRING
We are not hiring Account Managers because we need people to go find business. We already have more seller accounts than our current team can effectively manage, and our portfolio continues to grow. We need talented professionals capable of taking those opportunities and turning them into closed transactions.
We are looking for people who want to become exceptional deal-management professionals and build a long-term career doing it—not people looking for a temporary remote sales position or a stepping stone to something else. For the right person, this can become an exceptional final stop in your career.
If you're disciplined, confident, professional, financially prepared for a long sales cycle, and excited by the challenge of managing complex business transactions, we'd like to hear from you.
